Objective
With Hollywood parenting on the rise, the team at UPP recognized a strong trend to tap into for strategic public relations initiatives. With a client list that includes such brands as Godiva, Petunia Pickle Bottom, Hello Kitty and Frye Boots' Small Frye Booties, we sought to create a program with built-in media coverage that could incorporate multiple clients.

Solutions
When we discovered that Dayna Devon, Emmy Award-winning host of Extra, was expecting her first child, we immediately saw the perfect opportunity to produce an event that would make an impression in the entertainment media market. Recognizing the inherent value of working with a celebrity host (specifically, an on-air personality) in order to garner media coverage for our clients, we leveraged our existing relationship with Extra, to honor mom-to-be, Dayna Devon.

Though others had approached Extra about hosting a shower, we were ultimately offered the opportunity due to our integrated approach and overall vision. Our participating clients, Godiva, Petunia Pickle Bottom, Frye Boots' Small Frye and Hello Kitty all received mentions on Extra as well as the website, www.Extratv.com with Frye and Hello Kitty also featured in Life & Style. Overall, we created tangible results for these clients, garnering a total of 9 million consumer impressions from a single event.
